◆ The release of the highly anticipated Commodore Amiga A1200 reissue by Retro Games LTD has been pushed back to the very end of the year, December 4th to be exact. From what we’ve heard, they encountered some issues with the OS, and the team wants to make sure they get things right. Pre-orders are still open.

◆ The ZX Spectrum homebrew scene has been absolutely killing it lately, and Blindwalker is yet another brilliant title in the lineup, inspired by the legendary Sleepwalker. The game can be downloaded completely for free.

◆ Alongside the brilliant Blindwalker, another excellent ZX Spectrum 128K title named Shadow Fields has seen the light of day. This shmup is also available as a free download

◆ Following a string of solid and well-received C64 homebrews like Deathflood, Battle For Frost, The Tribe, Shipwrecked, and the recent Evil Spirit, German developer Windigo brings us yet another new game, Pharaoh’s Legacy. It’s a strategy title in the vein of SimCity and similar games, and it’s available for free.

◆ The new project from the BadComputer crew, the Sega Master System shmup Razing Core, is in the final stages of development. The release of this fantastic title is just around the corner, and we will, of course, cover it with a proper review, as the retro gods demand!

◆ Finally, an Amiga title that runs on OCS machines with 1MB of RAM is on the way! We’re talking about a port of the legendary Rastan, built using the phenomenal Scorpion Engine, which is why the game looks stunning. The final version is expected to drop any moment now, marking the first and only port of this cult classic for Amiga computers.

◆ Following the massively successful Sonic the Hedgehog film franchise that dominated box offices worldwide, SEGA is adapting another one of its famous IPs for the big screen, the legendary Streets Of Rage. On the other hand, the Japanese giant promised us Altered Beast and Shinobi film adaptations a few years ago, but for now, everything is still on hold.

◆ The legendary Serbian tech magazine Svet Kompjutera <World Of Computers> recently hit a major milestone with its 500th issue, and to mark the occasion, they released an 88-page retro gaming special. As it turns out, however, it’s essentially nothing more than a pile of recycled articles from their ‘Test Of Time’ column. Has the editorial board finally decided to turn a new page and change things for the better after years of criticism regarding their treatment of the retro gaming scene, or is this just to sugar-coat deeper issues?
You can grab the expanded digital version of the special right here :
